“And the new Miss World America is…” California! At that moment, chest pounding and eyes watering, I released the hands of the first runner up and clasped them over my mouth. On Sunday, November 17th 2024 I won the title of Miss World America, my first ever national title after competing in pageants for almost 20 years. The dream I had since I was a child had just come true, and now I get the chance to represent the United States of America at the 72nd Miss World competition.
The question I keep getting asked is “How do you feel?” and I’m happy to report that I feel amazing. This accomplishment means the world to me, but it’s humbling to remember that this victory did not come easy. Just one year prior, I competed at Miss World America 2023 where I placed 1st runner-up to the amazing Victoria DiSorbo. Earlier in the year, I placed 3rd runner up to Tianna Clark at Miss California USA. Before that, in 2022, I was 4th runner-up to Tiffany Johnson at that same competition.

The lesson here is that losing isn’t the opposite of success—it’s a critical part of the journey toward it. Every experience, whether labeled as a win or a loss, carries lessons that shape your resilience, refine your purpose, and strengthen your character. So after three consecutive “losses,” God and the Universe grated my heart’s wish. And when the crown was placed on my head, I understood why all of those previous circumstances didn’t work out.
As I am writing this, I am preparing to embark on the journey of a lifetime, the opportunity to compete at the 72nd Miss World representing my great country. Winning Miss World America is more than a title; it’s a call to action, a chance to amplify my voice and my purpose on a global stage. This journey has already been a profound experience of learning and growth, and I know it’s only the beginning. As I prepare to represent the United States at Miss World, my heart is filled with hope, gratitude, and determination. I am eager to embrace every challenge and opportunity that comes my way, striving not only to make my country proud but to inspire others to pursue their dreams with courage and conviction. To all the girls like me, who heard “no” after “no,” your yes is coming. And for me, this is a moment to bring beauty with apurpose to life—to celebrate diversity, advocate for change, and create a lasting impact.
To everyone who has supported me, believed in me, and shared in this journey so far, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I carry your love and encouragement with me every step of the way. Here’s to the next chapter, to growing, learning, and making a difference together as we head to Miss World.
